Who we are
This website, vlu-trial.com, is operated by MediWound Ltd. (42 Hayarkon Street, Yavne 8122745, Israel) (“MediWound”, “we”, “us”). It provides information for healthcare providers about the VALUE clinical trial (NCT06568627), sponsored by MediWound, and helps them contact a participating trial site. It is intended for healthcare professionals in the United States.
This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies only to vlu-trial.com. The patient website thevaluetrial.com and the websites of trial sites have their own policies.
Information we collect
Information collected for everyone
- Your cookie choice. We store a cookie (vlu_consent) recording whether you accepted or declined advertising cookies, so we don’t ask again. It lasts 180 days.
- Aggregate usage counts. When you use features such as the site search or the Call and Email buttons, we record the type of action, which trial site card it relates to, which of our LinkedIn ads brought you to the site (from the link’s campaign labels), and your country (derived from your IP address, which we do not store with these counts). We use this to understand how the site is used.
- Website statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views and to measure page speed. It does not use cookies or identify you; it records information such as the page visited, the referring website, your country and your browser type.
- ZIP code searches. If you enter a ZIP code, it is sent to our server to find nearby trial sites. If you choose “Use my location”, your browser’s location is used on your device only, to sort the list; it is not sent to us. ZIP codes are not stored, except temporarily in technical logs.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the website securely and reliably. These logs are kept for 3 days.
Information collected only with your consent
If you click Accept All, or turn on Advertising under Customise, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tagand LinkedIn’s Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn advertising campaign:
- The LinkedIn Insight Tag places cookies in your browser (for example li_fat_id and li_giant) and tells LinkedIn which page you viewed.
- When you click a Call or Email button, we tell LinkedIn that this action happened. This is sent from your browser and from our server, with an event identifier so LinkedIn counts it once. It includes LinkedIn’s advertising click identifier (if you arrived from a LinkedIn ad), your IP address, and the time of the action.
We do not send LinkedIn your name, email address, the content of any call or email, or any health information. LinkedIn uses this information under its own privacy policy and cookie policy. If you decline, none of this happens.
Information we do not collect
This website has no forms or accounts and does not collect health or patient information. When you call or email a trial site, that communication goes directly from your phone or email app to the site’s research team and is handled under the site’s own privacy practices. Please do not include patient-identifying information in your first contact with a site. This website is for healthcare professionals; patients and caregivers looking for information about the trial should visit thevaluetrial.com.
This website is not monitored for medical enquiries or safety reports. To report a side effect or safety concern relating to the VALUE trial, please contact the trial site directly.
